Messin' with Sasquatch

Check out Jack Links "Messin' With Sasquatch" microsite. Good Stuffs!
I'm always a sucker for sweet Internet sites, but this one is even more awesome than most, because it stars my good friend Sasquatch!

I looked into who actually designed the site, because I wanted to see if Graham Roumieu, who wrote / illustrated Me Write Memior got any credit, I couldn't find any which is a bit of a bummer, anyway it looks like Xyleminteractive designed the site! The journal section is very, VERY similar to Grahams book!
This is an download from the download section. One of the best Sasquatch illustrations I've had the privilege of viewing.anyway, this site is pretty sweet, the commercials are good check them out also. It almost makes me want to buy Beef Jerky.

nice work, now give Graham some credit!

Babel=waste of time!

I watched this movie last night! It was terrible, I'm not much of person who ruins movies for people, so don't read the last line of this post. I guess if you are a Brad Pitt fan and you want to see how he will look if he stops with the plastic surgery, or if you are into 14 year-old Japanese girls then maybe its worth the 144 minutes of BOOOOOOORRRRRRRING! This movie was terrible, but not as terrible as Nacho-Libre, which i couldn't even watch all the way through!
....and here is where you might want to stop reading....
The only thing that would have made this movie worth the time is if the balcony would have been used for a large, HIGH dive!

Ace in the HOTEL!

Sometimes you think that it might be fun to just book a hotel in the city you live in. You know something a little different. So for Erin's pre-BDay celebration i thought we might stay at the Ace Hotel. I have heard about this place from a bunch of different people, and saw a bunch of photos from people at Mallet (who designed it).

So I called them up and asked if they have rooms available...They did!

So we show up and we get a key and we head to the room and we go to open it. And what do you know its already occupied. Fucking lucky for that safety bar (if you don't ever use that thing, you might want to start)!
Freaks me out.
Freaks Erin out.
Freaks that guy in the room out!

So anyway i was a bit bummed because that room was suppose to have the best view, not that it really mattered because it was already 9pm, but that's not the point.

anyway we ended up in room 122 and i mention this because all of the rooms are different we were told. Room 122 was pretty sweet, over all a pretty minimalistic, modern decor and look, kind of like a army room, I was pretty into the metal sink / medicine cabinet!

Highlights:
super awesome water pressure
sweet electronics
metal sink / medicine cabinet
karma sutra book (don't take it, it will cost you 12 bucks)
condoms (those are free)
a partial view of the Edgewater Hotel sign

One of the coolest parts of the hotel was there informational icons, I would like to get my hands on the set! The entry way was also pretty awesome. I cant imagine getting back to this place under the influence, because you have to walk up about 400000000 stairs.

Actually for staying downtown the room was a pretty good deal at 160, they have rooms that are lower, but you don't have a private bathroom. There is also a breakfast, we were in a bit of rush to get out of there, (Erin had a 8:30am meeting, who does this on their BDAY).

If i had someone coming into town and they wanted to stay downtown and they weren't that into having everything super plush and fancy, I would definitely recommend the Ace.

There may be some more photos HERE!

grumpy squatch!

Im slowly turning into this, but with a bit more gray! Thanks to Erin for the image! Where is it from, I would like to get some credit to someone who deserves credit for one of the best renditions of Bigfoot!

Catch a Leg!

Sometimes I really wonder if I can out do myself in producing advertisements that are totally ridiculous. This is one of the worse / best ones!
So what could we do with this that might make it even more awesome. Lets make it into a skate deck!
and thank god they are both out the door. Only about 50 more items to "kick" out the door! (pun intended)!

Most AWESOME Best Easter EVER!!!

Seriously, it's probaly been 20+ years since I've celebrated Easter like I did today. I want to start off first with thanking 3 people.
1)Erin, for the most awesome gift basket planning and Easter Egg hunt organization
2)Brit, for the most awesome party organzing and of course the most awesome Easter gift ever, plus hosting at her most awesome apartment ever
3)Scott, for also hosting and making sure there was a constant source of special beverages!
I'm not sure who decided that Easter Brunch was a thing to do, but if it was GOD, I guess I would have to thank him, because today's brunch was the MOST AWESOME!

I walked into Brit and Scott's apartment, which has a most amazing view of the sound and downtown. I mean really awesome. It was almost like having Brunch in that 1970's space needle thing.
Anyway, there was also some amazing food! A couple of highlights!
Banana French Toast!
Fancy Ham
Strawberry HUGE cake!

After Brunch, Everyone in attendance were presented with Easter Baskets, which Erin and Brit had made up, and they were awesome. A couple of highlights!
chocolate DIVA bunny - Andrea
Chick Socks - Amy
TreeSquatch - Stuart
Chocolate Cross - Jason

After the baskets, we moved onto the Main Event for the day, which consisted of hunting for plastic egg shaped things filled with surprises On the way down to the "Hunting Ground", we were supplied with squirt guns, which made us look and feel like 5-year-olds! A couple of highlights!

Mini Owls
Mini Pigs
Bouncing Balls
Finger puppets
best catch of the day goes to Jason for finding the egg filled with a whopping 4 bucks in Canadian Coins

anyway I'm sure this doesn't make sense, because i cant write! but it was by far the Most Awesome BEST Easter EVER!!!
Thanks again to Brit, Scott, Erin and the rest of the posse!

Bar of the Month Club - Round 2 (aka BOTMc)

Bar of the Month Club - March addition - Twilight Exit!

Round 2 of the club headed us down to the Twilight Exit. Remember when you get into a cab and ask them to take you to the Twilight, make sure they know its the Twilight Exit and its located at 20Th and Madison on the backside of Capital Hill. I guess there is another Twilight, and its a martini bar in Belltown.

The Twilight is a mixture of awesome and sweet.

Highlights...
finally understanding what "bottom" club meant.
Oly in a can
Being wrong about what Loop and Hatch was and still is, but it was pretty amazing!
Not crowded, good music, not to loud
There is a bunch of old windows hanging all over the place. You can sit on couches and old school chairs. At one point I thought I was going to be handed a Scan-Tron.

I guess they have good food, I didn't try any, but Erin had some Mash Potatoes and they were real potatoes, not from the box. I also guess they have a pretty good karaoke night, but again, I didn't try that either.

I did take my turn at the MegaTouch - Theirs is fucked up and i don't recommend playing photo match on it!

FYI this was one of Seattle's Best Places in 1984, I'm pretty sure its one of Seattle's Best Places in 2007, If I lived closer to this bar I would end up here way more often!

oh BTW my jeans are 1% Lycra, which I guess does make them "Stretch"!

And if you are in the mood to do some WI-FIing, just ask the
bartender...they have free WI-FI!

Looking forward to the May installment of the BOTM club!
